The Battle of Ballinspittle Duathlon

MCTC were well represented today (Easter Monday) at The Battle of Ballinspittle Duathlon in Kinsale. Everyone put in a real strong performance, Jonathan Finn was leading till he was mis-directed and took a wrong turn.

Jonathan still posted the fastest bike time in the entire field and finished 16th, Looking at the times the wrong turn was all that stopped Jonny getting a win as his run was strong too and one of the fastest in the field.

Callum Lynch took part in the Junior section, Jon Waterman, Barry Mcmahon, Leonard O Sullivan & Tony Fitzgerald all represented the club well.

All the lads had similiar bike times but the runs split the lads up.

Jon Waterman was the next MCTC member home closley followed by Barry Mcmahon who actually had a faster bike time but lost time to whippet Jonny on the run.

Leonard and Tony both finished shortly after Barry roughly together.

Calum Lynch came in a fantastic third in his section.

Well done lads.

John Lynch was also there supporting which he apparently found tough having once missed his mouth with his breakfast roll and received a nasty Tomato Sauce rash across his face! well done again all.
