After 11 weeks of juvenile racing in the Fermoy league everyone has improved hugely and can be proud of their performances. Colm Treacy came 6th overall and Alanna Drennan came 3rd overall. Well done to Matthew and Pearce Broderick, Elloit Gravina, Colm Treacy, Adam and Luke O'Brien and Alanna & Rachel Drennan.

With the summer holidays in full swing the juveniles are training and racing hard. Training on Thursday evenings involves time trials and sprints which have helped us all to improve hugely for racing. The Fermoy league has been a great way for everyone to work on their times and the juveniles regularly racing are Matthew and Pearse Broderick, Elliot Gravina, Colm Treacy and Rachel and Alanna Drennan.

Everybody keeps improving each week which is fantastic and Alanna is currently in 3rd place on the leaderboard.

In triathlon news Alanna came 5th in the 12/13 age category in the National Aquathlon championships in Galway last weekend.

Thanks,

Rachel

Firstly apologies for the delay in this report but its news worth waiting for, Midleton CTC Has our very own National Champion.

27th of June saw the Irish National road championships take place in Omagh.

Three of our Member’s were in attendance all in different categories.

First up on the Thursday Night was the ever impressive Martin Enright, this man never fails to impress me his shear will power alone is daunting to any mear mortals like myself.

Martin rode his way to 7th place in the Paracyclists TT Race and if this wasn’t impressive enough came in 2nd in his category. This made all the more impressive that he rode a conventional road bike up against the rest of the field on TT bikes. Well Done Martin.

Our second representative was AJ murphy taking part in the m50 Road race. Fresh From his great Munster M50 win

AJ’s impressive training schedule showed good value for money again as he only just missed out on a podium spot taking 4th place, This is a seriously strong field and AJ as usual was amongst the strongest in the field. Well done AJ.

Last but by no means least Club sponsor and long time member Aiden Crowley Racing in his own Works team Colours of Strata3-VeloRevolution who Sprinted to a National Championship Gold Medal in the M40 class giving himself the opportunity to design himself a National champions jersey for the next 12 months.

The Race itself was a fast affair with the peloton constantly being shut down playing in to a tactically astute Crowley’s hands. With a technical bend on the approach to the finish Aiden went clear and showed his sprinting Prowess to win the sprint with bike lengths to spare and time for a well deserved celebration. Well Done Aiden Great result.
